CSU Policy AS-1106-79 and federal law require that students be permitted to use a recording device in an academic setting when recording of material is necessary to provide reasonable accommodations for a documented disability. Some students registered with the Campus Disability Resource Center at Cal Poly Humboldt with functional limitations from a verified disability are eligible to utilize audio recordings or transcriptions as an accommodation. The follow agreement is intended to protect the rights of the student and faculty member while complying with this policy.
