Welcome

Come See Us in Our Temporary Location for the 2018-2019 Academic Year:  Campus Events Field #6

Welcome to the Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) at Humboldt State University!  We welcome the opportunity to provide you with additional and more specific information in support of your academic success.  In the following pages, you will find information regarding services, policies, and other important information.

North-South Route During Library Construction

Due to the Library retrofit project, the accessible pathway that links the southern and northern parts of campus has been fenced off.  An accessible route, however, can be achieved through Art A and Art B:

  • From the southern part of campus, enter the outdoor elevator at Art A, and take it to the second floor.
  • From there, cross over to Art B through the walkway that links the two buildings.
  • Exit Art B through the front doors, and then, traveling around Music A and Siemens Hall, students can access the Quad and the northern part of campus.
  • The same steps can be practiced in reverse.
  • If students wish, after they leave Art B, they can go next door to Music B and take the elevator up one level, where they can exit very near the Quad.

Students can achieve similar results by traveling through Science A and Science B, except that the elevator in Science A does not quite meet ADA standards for width of entrance.  Construction around the Greenhouse and Wildlife buildings is further limiting pedestrian access.  Therefore, after exiting Science B, enter into Science D on the first floor and take the elevation to the ground level (neither entrance to Science D have push pads for the doors).   The same steps can be practiced in reverse.

Qualified students can also request Tram Service through the SDRC.  Please see the Tram service page for policies and hours of operation.  Please contact SDRC if you have any questions or concerns.
